Joe Dicruttalo
Bio
Coach Joe Dicruttalo graduated Westfield State University with a degree in Education, and has been able to pair his knowledge of the game with the ability to teach it to those he works with. He is currently he is serving as the head coach of the St. Mark's Varsity girls' basketball team, a long time member of the Independent School League.
In high school, Coach Dicruttalo lettered three years as a varsity player at Franklin High School, where he was part of two Hockomock league championship teams and was named First-Team All-League both his junior and senior year. After high school, he continued his playing career at Westfield State University. During his senior year, he was elected captain and led the team in steals and assists and finished second in points and rebounds.
After graduation, Coach Dicruttalo has held various coaching positions at the high school and university level. Most recently as the head coach for the Dublin School in Dublin, NH where he led both the men’s and women’s teams to league championships, as well as taking the women's team to the NEPSAC Class E Championship Game.
From coaching multiple years at different levels of the game, as well as contributing to multiple town and recreational travel boards, Coach Joe has gained insight into many layers of overall player development. From directing youth instructional leagues for beginners, to serving as a liaison for high school players trying to play college basketball, to even working with college players to help them maximize their potential, Coach Joe has gained a unique view on the best tactics to maximize players skill and character development for players of all ages and skill levels.
Coach Dicruttalo serves as both Program Director and Coach for the Mass Mavericks Basketball organization as well as works full time for Blue Chip Development LLC. BCD is a year round basketball enhancement organization that works with athletes and their families to maximize their experiences as well as their overall understanding of both the game and how to best leverage it to empower their own personal, social and educational opportunities.
